Welcome to the home page of BUDC!

Banstead Underwater Diving Club (BUDC) is a friendly and active British Sub Aqua Club branch who meet each Tuesday evening to train and talk diving.  At present the club has about 30 diving members, plus a number of social members (either non-diving partners or divers who do not dive with the club but like to swim and socialise).

We welcome qualified divers from any diving organisation, who wish to dive regularly in the UK with like-minded divers, as well as new members who wish to learn to dive.

For more information about the club, joining or training then click here or click on any of the links at the top of the page.

Rachel on the Mulberry Harbour

A great week starting on 26th July, organised by Paul, diving off the Sharon Rose with Scapa Flow Charters.   The sea was flat every day, except one, and even the sun shone.  Kevin managed the boat (and divers!) admirably, and as for the brunches - well Eric did a great job!  Why doesn't someone put a mug of hot tea in my hand as soon as I get back on the rib??  Thanks Eric.  A report will be coming soon together with a few pictures, but to show that the sun shone, here is a picture of the group above water.

Always wanted to try diving but never got around to it?

We run 'Try Dives' for those who aren't sure if they will enjoy diving, or just want to see what it's like.

'Try Dives' give you the opportunity to have a go using scuba equipment and see what it's all about, at a very reasonable price of £10.

Start training or progress to a higher qualification

Our friendly instructors will make your training enjoyable and will go at a pace that suits you.  First open water training dives are an experience but unfortunately sometimes a bit  chilly, or even cold

Someone is always there to help you!

If you would like more information or want to arrange a try dive, send us an email and we will contact you.
