Welcome to the home page of BUDC!

Banstead Underwater Diving Club (BUDC) is a friendly and active British Sub Aqua Club branch who meet each Tuesday evening to train and talk diving.  At present the club has about 30 diving members, plus a number of social members (either non-diving partners or divers who do not dive with the club but like to swim and socialise).

We welcome qualified divers from any diving organisation, who wish to dive regularly in the UK with like-minded divers, as well as new members who wish to learn to dive.

For more information about the club, click on the links at the top of the page.

3 May - Bank Holiday weekend diving

Trainees were keen to get out - Ocean divers for first dive off the rib,  dive leaders for exercises, Sports divers for experience.  Again, our trusty  Training Officer was able to find and hit the only submerged object out of Littlehampton.  Find a wreck - might be a problem, hit an object underwater - every time!!

Jules soon put on the new prop.  Tim arranged for the engine to be inspected for the boathandling and diver coxon course. Bryan, well he will just have to put up with the rude comments!!  More details - Dave's report.

Always wanted to try diving but never got around to it?

We run 'Try Dives' for those who aren't sure if they will enjoy diving, or just want to see what it's like.

'Try Dives' give you the opportunity to have a go using scuba equipment and see what it's all about, at a very reasonable price of £10.

Start training or progress to a higher qualification

Our friendly instructors will make your training enjoyable and will go at a pace that suits you.  First open water training dives are an experience but unfortunately sometimes a bit  chilly, or even cold

Someone is always there to help you!

If you would like more information or want to arrange a try dive, send us an email and we will contact you.
