Banstead
Underwater Diving club (BUDC) is a friendly and active British Sub Aqua Club
branch who meet each Tuesday evening to train and talk diving.
At present the club has about 30 diving members, plus a number
of social members (either non-diving partners or divers who do
not dive with the club but like to swim and socialise).

The pool at Banstead Sports
Centre
in Banstead, Surrey, where we train from 9-10 each Tuesday night |
We are are keen to welcome new members who wish to learn to dive and we also welcome qualified divers from any diving
organisation, who wish to dive regularly in the UK with like-minded divers.
If you are new to
diving, then by becoming a member of BUDC, we offer free BSAC training with all equipment supplied
up to Ocean Diver level.

The club has its own RIB which is kept at
Littlehampton Marina
and we go out
most weekends between Easter and end of October, weather permitting. Hardy
souls can dive all year round!!
What
do we see in the cold, murky waters of the English Channel?
Club weekends and
holidays
are also arranged, both in the UK and abroad.
Additional
skill
development courses, eg boat handling, oxygen administration
etc are arranged when requested. |
We run 'Try Dives' for those who aren't sure if they will
enjoy diving, or just want to see what it's like.
'Try Dives' give
you the opportunity to have a go using scuba equipment and see what it's
all about, at a very reasonable price of £10.
Tom, enjoyed his try dive so much
he came back for another one!!

If you are already qualified, we will
recognise your qualification according to the BSAC 'Table
of Similar Qualifications' and will give you a brief 'Introduction to
BSAC' so that you understand the structure. If you
want to further your training, there are a number of BSAC
Cross-Over training packages which take into account your
previous qualifications. |
