28 December 2017 – Stoney cove

Report and Photos by Steve Burgess

Went to Stoney again with Mark on 28/12/17.  We had arranged  a meet with Del & Don who some of you will remember  from the winter Portland trip and a couple of days diving at Swanage this year.

Dive 1, 19.4 mtrs, Viz 10 mtrs, Temp 6°

Had a look along the west side of the quarry at around 20mtrs and came back along top shelf over the Elizabethan Gresham ship and back to entry point. Dive time 45 mins.

Dive 2 -21.2 mtrs, Viz 10-15 mtrs in places, Temp 6°

Had a look along the East wall, we got all the way to the sunken Forrest much to our surprise, covered  a fair bit of distance on  this 55 min dive.

Had a good laugh with Del and Don at Stoney ,they both hope to join us again in the summer for more Dorset dives.
