13 August 2020 – Wraysbury

Report by Charles Taylor

Hats off to our youngest member, Matthew Worth, for successfully completing his first two open water dives. All the required skills were completed to a high standard and it was hard to believe that the last time he donned scuba gear was back in March.

He reached a maximum depth of 8 metres and we spent a total of almost 90 minutes under water on a single air fill. There was plenty of time to explore the bus and other wrecks, as well as viewing some large perch and chasing countless crayfish through the reeds. The water temperature was a surprising 25 degrees C.

Thanks to Mark and to mum Maggie for acting as our ground cover.
