Welcome to the home page of BUDC!

BUDC is a friendly and active British Sub Aqua Club branch who meet each Tuesday evening to train and talk diving.  At present the club has about 30 diving members, plus a number of social members (either non-diving partners or divers who do not dive with the club but like to swim and socialise).

We welcome qualified divers from any diving organisation, who wish to dive regularly in the UK with like-minded divers, as well as new members who wish to learn to dive.

For more information about the club, joining or training then click here or click on any of the links at the top of the page.

Great diving in the UK out of Littlehampton on our club rib

A recent dive on the HMT Northcoates (also known as the Armed Trawler) demonstrated that diving in the UK can be very worthwhile.

"Upon entering the water no current was running and this remained throughout the dive.  What a little smasher of a wreck, it’s got the big 12 pounder gun on the bow, machine gun mounts aft, all the mine sweeping gear and apparently a loo although we must have missed it!

Great marine life, lots of big congers, Bib, Pollock and little blennies, plus Julian picked up a very large crab! You can comfortably explore all the nooks and crannies in 30 minutes bottom time - can’t wait to do it again !"

Always wanted to try diving but never got around to it?

We run 'Try Dives' for those who aren't sure if they will enjoy diving, or just want to see what it's like.  This will give you the opportunity to have a go using scuba equipment and see what it's all about, at a very reasonable price of £10.

Start training or progress to a higher qualification

Our friendly instructors will make your training enjoyable and will go at a pace that suits you.  First open water training dives are an experience but unfortunately sometimes a bit  chilly, or even cold

Someone is always there to help you!

If you would like more information or want to arrange a try dive, send us an email and we will contact you.
